Home Oral Health Care Isn't Enough To Be Prevented From Gum Infection
It is been inculcated in our minds that maintaining a good oral health keeps gum disease away. Regular brushing and flossing are the effective ways of keeping bacteria away. Bacteria are the premier cause of gum infection. Gum inflammation can be experienced as a reaction to gum infection and gums becomes red in color, tender and puffy.
Brushing and flossing will prevent your mouth being the haven of harmful bacteria, however it is not enough to be protected from gum infection. There are several factors why gum infection occurs. Brushing and flossing won't remove all the bacteria that is present in the mouth, professional cleaning are needed to remove food particles left in the mouth especially in the hard to reach areas, thus making dental visits twice a year is important.
